Here is my guide in installing Windows Media Player 11 without having to go through that annoying Genuine Windows Validation (WGA) check.
Here’s a step by step tutorial:
Step 1:
Download the Windows Media Player 11 installer from here:
Step 2:
Extract the contents of wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe. Here we use WinRAR .
If you are using WinRaR,
a. Select the downloaded wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe, Right click, then -> Extract files…
b. Click on the OK button.
c. open the wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu folder.
Step 3:
Find and Run the wmfdist11.exe file.
Step 4:
Restart the computer.
Step 5:
Go to the wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu folder again and run the wmp11.exe file.
Step 6:
Restart the computer.
And there you have it, you have installed Windows Media Player 11 without having to go through that annoying Genuine Windows Validation (WGA) check.

did you restart your pc first b4 running WM11?
im surprised bcoz i installed wm11 to lots of PCs already following the steps above and ive never had any problems so far…

unless you have that Windows Genuine Advantage Notification tool which is really annoying, you ust ry installing it again.
i have this “Windows Genuine Advantage Notification” coming every time I turn my PC on but ti can do windows updates due to some program my brother installed. I tried installing wmp11 lyk u posted but it asks me to validate when i try to open it. is this because of that “Windows Genuine Advantage Notification”? can i not install it like u said here?

this trick is good. But At first time is failed for me. Then I installed other files umdf, wmdbexport, wmfdist11 before installing wmp11 surprisingly it works for me without restart. Dudes for those who not working try this out.

if anyone wants cracked windows media player 11, just download this 1, i precracked it to pass the genuine validation, when it asks for validation just click validate and continue installing, no probs at all!
