The release of the Apple iPhone 5 sparked a debate between this new phone and the Samsung Galaxy S3. With businesses turning to mobile technology for many different things, such as accepting credit cards for business while in the field and staying connected, it’s important to understand how these smartphones stack up against each other.
Samsung Galaxy S3 vs. Apple iPhone 5
The S3 became one of the best-selling devices of 2012 quickly and outsold the Apple 1Phone 4S. However, the S3 compares better to the new iPhone 5 and many believe the Samsung Galaxy S3 is the better choice. It was found during benchmark tests that the iPhone 5 was faster, but many businesses still believe the S3 is the better choice of these two smart phones.
What makes the S3 such a popular choice? Many believed the iPhone 5 was going to come with features, such as a holographic keyboard and video projector. However, it wasn’t released with either of these and it lacks customization, as well. On the other side of things, the Samsung Galaxy S3 was released with all types of bells and whistles allowing users to do many things the iPhone 5 doesn’t allow. Many believe the S3 is the simplest of the most powerful smartphones on the planet.
Samsung Galaxy S3 vs. HTC One X
Comparing the S3 to the HTC One X for business and personal use makes it very clear which smartphone is better. The camera on the S3 and the picture quality are much better than the One X and you can get the Samsung Galaxy S3 from more than just one carrier. Only AT&T offers the HTC One X, which is also known as a slower phone than both the S3 and the iPhone 5.
Best Smartphone Choice for Business
Choosing a smartphone you will use for many different business tasks might not be easy, but the smart businessperson will choose either the Samsung Galaxy S3 or the Apple iPhone 5. It really comes down to whether the rest of your devices are PC or MAC. If you don’t use a MAC computer, iPad or any other MAC devices, it doesn’t make any sense to choose the iPhone 5 for business.
The HTC One X doesn’t compare to either the iPhone 5 or the S3, so it’s not the right choice unless you’re stuck in a contract with AT&T and just really like the phone. If you want better customization and can live with a phone that’s slightly slower, the S3 is the right choice. However, it customization isn’t important to you and the rest of you use other MAC devices, you may want to consider the iPhone 5.
