Tech4idiots has recently posted an article that Google maps is now available for iOS, complete with all the features that we love like Turn by Turn Navigation, Public Transit Directions and Street View. But unfortunately for non-US residents, the App is not available for download from the App Store.
If you try to search for it via the app store, the Google Maps App would not show up on the results and even if you type the URL of the Google Maps App you copied from the browser (Safari, Chrome etc), you would only get a message saying that the App is only available on the US App Store.

That’s really just stupid, so here at T4I, we are here to help you non-US residents. And the answer is very simple. Here is the simple guide on How to download Google maps for non-US residents:
Step 1. Get a new Apple ID and set your location to “United States of America” and that’s it!
And in case you are wondering about the Credit card verification process in order to create a new Apple ID but you don’t want to re-enter you credit cards details, you don’t have one, or you just simply don’t want to give out your credit card details. Here’s a link to my tutorial on How to create an Apple ID without a credit card.
So there you have it, enjoy using Google Maps App on your iOS device and now you can dump that old unreliable Apple Maps App and move it somewhere where apps like the Newstand belongs.

Thank you for this man, the question is why did they have to restrict the Google Maps app only for US residents where the fact that Apple Maps is so bad for other countries and the new Google Maps App would be such a blessing for them?
It use to be the “Geniuses behind Apple” but after we lost Steve, it’s more like the “Idiot’s behind Apple”
lol!
I have that very same question my friend.
