Sony has released a mandatory firmware update for the PS Vita with Firmware 3.12. The update fixes a buy that was introduced by the Firmware update 3.10 that was released just a few days ago.

The PS Vita 3.10 firmware update included a memory card manager but also introduced a bug that caused large capacity memory cards such as the 32GB and 64GB ones to fail, which caused the PS Vita to restart and prompt to reformat the card pops up.

Users can now update to the latest firmware in order to fix this issue. Users affected by the bug are advised to update to the 3.12 firmware by removing the memory card and update the firmware. And in case an error pops up due to the Vita not having a memory card while downloading the update, you can also update your PS Vita via your PC or PS3.

Apple has recently rolled out the first major iOS update since introducing us to iOS 7 last June, the iOS 7 update has been rolled out quietly and packs a lot of updates that includes significant changes to Siri, iTunes Radio, improvements to overall system performance, and the introduction of CarPlay.

A few weeks ago Apple has quietly released their latest iOS update with iOS 7.0.6 along with the iOS 6.1.6 update that is intended for older iOS devices such as the iPhone 3GS and the 4th-gen iPod touch.

As seen in the screen grab above, the update included is more of a security update that adds a security fix for SSL connection verification. It’s just a small update totaling to only 13.6 MB and updating your devices would not take long.

The updates are available for all supported iPhones, iPads, and iPods as over-the-air updates on your iOS device.

Rogero 4.55 v1.00 CFW now available

PS3 CFW users have been waiting for this for some time now, and thanks to the beta testers along with fellow PS3 developer Habib, Rogero has finally released Rogero 4.55 CFW to the public.

Here’s whats included in the Rogero 4.55 v1.00 CFW:

ReactPSN patch.
Cinavia Disabled for HDD content playback only.
noBD/noBT patches to allow installation on consoles with broken BluRay Drive or Bluetooth board.
This CFW can be installed fine from XMB Update over OFW3.55 or any CFW ver < = 4.55 HDD can be swapped/changed and the CFW will re-install without any problem. Patched LV1 to disable LV2 Protection. Patched LV1 to add peek/poke support. Patched LV1 Core OS Hash Check (to prevent Bricking on non-dehashed downgraded consoles) Patched LV2 to add peek/poke support. QA Flag enabled by default to allow for easier downgrading using Recovery Menu. RSOD screen bypass patch for RSOD machines (it won't fix the RSOD but allows the PS3 to boot fine into XMB) PSN/SEN access is available but it's not recommended. It can run games signed with Keys up to version 4.55 without any Eboot/Sprx patching needed. The CFW can be used for Downgrading with Hardware flashers with PS3 Flash Tool v4.55

Expect a Rogero 4.55 CFW anytime soon

Update: Rogero 4.55 v1.00 CFW is now available.

Just when we thought Rogero is taking a break from the scene, We may expect a Rogero release with Rogero 4.55 CFW anytime soon. Rogero is currently working on a 4.55 CFW and is already in the beta testing phase.

PS3 developer Habib is also helping with the testing, Habib, together with Team ZER0 has already released a 4.55 CFW with ZER0 4.55 PS3 CFW V1.00 CEX and hopefully his experience working for a 4.55 CFW would help expedite a Rogero 4.55 release.

PlayStation 3 developer Nathan_r32_69 has released an update for his SEN/PSN utility with PSN / SEN Enabler & Disabler version 5.3.3 along with the SEN Enabler version 5.4.0 so PS3 CFW users can have online access with their consoles.


The PSN / SEN Enabler and Disabler v5.3.3 update includes:

  • Added support for OFW 4.55 (bypass, online works again)
  • Remove history files up to 20 users (next update will be unlimited)

    PS3 developer Habib has teamed up once again with team ZER0 for this ZER0 Dual Boot OFW 4.55 for PS3 CFW release. They have previously teamed up for a PS3 4.55 CFW release a few days ago.

    Dual booting from OFW and CFW is so far the best way to avoid getting banned when playing online.

    Here are the ZER0 Dual Boot OFW 4.55 Features:

  • Matches ofw structure
  • Same size as ofw
  • Same metadata used for encrypting modules from which ecdsa checks removed (lv0’s isoldr and spu_pkg_rvk_verifier)
