Haiku Error Messages

Posted on January 23, 2008

In Japan, Toshiba has replaced the impersonal and unhelpful MS Windows error
messages on its notebook computers with its own Japanese haiku poetry, each
of only 17 syllables: five in the first line; seven in the second; five in
the third…
————————
A file that big?
It might be very useful.
But now it is gone.
————————
The Web site you seek
Cannot be located but
Countless more exist.
————————
Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.
————————
Aborted effort:
Close all that you have worked on.
You ask far too much.
————————
Windows NT crashed.
I am the Blue Screen of Death.
No one hears your screams.
————————
Yesterday it worked.
Today it is not working.
Windows is like that.
————————
First snow, then silence.
This thousand-dollar screen dies
So beautifully.
————————
With searching comes loss
And the presence of absence:
“My Novel” not found.
————————
The Zen that is seen
Is not the true Zen – until
You bring fresh toner.
————————
Stay the patient course.
Of little worth is your ire.
The network is down.
————————
A crash reduces
Your expensive computer
To a simple stone.
————————
Three things are certain:
Death, taxes, and lost data.
Guess which has occurred.
————————
You step in the stream,
But the water has moved on.
This page is not here.
————————
Out of memory.
We wish to hold the whole sky,
But we never will.
————————
Having been erased,
The document you’re seeking
Must now be retyped.
————————
Serious error.
All shortcuts have disappeared.
Screen. Mind. Both are blank.

PSP Custom Firmware 3.80 m33-5 Out now!

Posted on January 22, 2008

Dark_Alex has just released the update 3.80 M33-5.

3.80 M33-5 changes:

– Fixed custom CPU clock not working in games
– CPU clock has never (in any SE/OE/M33) be set at all in games that restarted using sceKernelLoadExec to use a subgame or reload themselves,
after said restart happened (e.g. Castlevania). Fixed.
– Added setting to recovery to hide PIC0.PNG and PIC1.PNG in the XMB game menu
By default off, when on you will probably notice a faster browse in XMB games.
This setting only applies to any kind of apps/games (pbp, iso) that load from MS, but not to UMD’s.

Check out their site and download the update here.

Mad TV – Ipod Nano Feist 1234 Commercial

Posted on January 21, 2008

Here’s a funny parody of Feist’s Ipod Nano commercial by Madtv

Found this funny? feel free to leave a comment below. .=)

First and foremost:

ALWAYS read instructions carefully, there’s always a possibility of bricking you psp if you do not follow the instructions and mess up along the way!

So here’s what you’ll need:

A PSP of course! with a custom firmware installed higher than 3.52 M33-4. I did my custom firmware install when my psp was at 3.71 M33-4.

You need to have your battery charged to 75% or more.

A USB Cable which you can conneect from your computer to your PSP.

Winzip or WinRAR for file decompression

The Installation Guide:

Download the 3.80 M33 installer pack here.

Extract the contents anywhere on your computer.

Connect your PSP to your computer using your USB cable.

Copy the UPDATE folder from your computer to your PSP in this directory: :/PSP/GAME.

Disconnect your PSP from your PC.

On your psp, navigate to the Game menu and select the m33 installer then press X. (or sometimes O if you have an asian version or for some reason,  has reset you psp to original factory settings)

Follow the onscreen instructions.

The screen will go black then after accepting the instructions it will lead you to the official Sony updater screen.

Accept everything then wait for the update to finish.

Warning:

Don’t interrupt the PSP while updating or you’ll end up bricking your PSP.
After the update is finished, you will be prompted to manually reset your PSP by pressing X or O.

Note:

If you want to install 3.80 m33-4, just install 3.80 m33-2 first then 3.80 m33-3 then 3.80 m33-4, just follow the steps above on how to update and you be just fine..

You can download all the installers from Dark_Alex’s site here.

There you have it! A psp with the latest customfirmware installed. Now you might want to check out the new PSP Internet Radio if your in a wifi zone.. =)

If you got some question just leave a comment and I’ll get back you.

UPDATE:  The link no longer work as Sony redesigned their site. So check this out to get the Latest Sony Theme Maker and how to use it.
