PS Vita Firmware 3.12 update fixes memory card failures

Sony has released a mandatory firmware update for the PS Vita with Firmware 3.12. The update fixes a buy that was introduced by the Firmware update 3.10 that was released just a few days ago.

The PS Vita 3.10 firmware update included a memory card manager but also introduced a bug that caused large capacity memory cards such as the 32GB and 64GB ones to fail, which caused the PS Vita to restart and prompt to reformat the card pops up.

Users can now update to the latest firmware in order to fix this issue. Users affected by the bug are advised to update to the 3.12 firmware by removing the memory card and update the firmware. And in case an error pops up due to the Vita not having a memory card while downloading the update, you can also update your PS Vita via your PC or PS3.
