PS Vita Firmware 3.55 now available

Written by Tech84 on October 1, 2015

Sony has just released the latest firmware update for the PS Vita with firmware 3.55.

PS Vita

This updates brings nothing really new, which is seemingly becoming a trend for Sony, releasing firmware updates that doesn’t clearly add anything new. You get the typical “System stability has been improved” message for the update.

Along with bringing absolutely nothing new, Sony has also made this update mandatory, meaning, you are forced to update your firmware if you want to continue playing online multiplayer and accessing PSN.

Updates like this makes us think that this is just to hinder CFW users from going online, but mandatory firmware updates like this are easily bypassed thanks to spoofers. So a rather small hindrance to CFW users that also affects official firmware users alike.
