PS4 Firmware 2.04 now available

Sony has just released a new firmware update for the PS4 with PS4 firmware 2.04.

PS4 Firmware 2.04 now available

The new PS4 firwmare 2.04 is just another small update (or just another useless update if you ask us) which brings nothing really new, not even a new feature, and only bring another vague “system stability has been improved” message in the changelog.

So far the only thing this update does is confirm that custom wallpapers wont be coming to the PS4 anytime soon. Also, we still cant confirm reports whether the update is mandatory, meaning, the firmware update is required if you want to access PSN and other online features.

You can download the update via the system update on your PS4 or you can download the update on your PC from the Playstation website.

Update: Users have been reported to be experiencing problems with the update, some are unable to download the update while some are receiving the error code SU-30709-9 and CE-32937-4 while attempting to install the 2.04 update.

Update 2: The problem seems to have been fixed now and users are now able to download and install the 2.04 firmware update successfully.
