SONY to stop selling PSP Development Kits

Written by Tech84 on October 8, 2010

SCEE has given official word to SCE DevNet partners that they will no longer be selling developer kits for the PSP. The notices states that by November 15 the company will  “no longer be selling the PSP development tool (dtp-t2000a) or testing tool (dtp-h2500a)”,  according to a report from French site PSPGen.  Part of the notice reads as follows:

SCEE will no longer be selling the PSP Development Tool (DTP-T2000A) or Testing Tool (DTP-H2500A) past November 15th. Please order in advance if you require these development units.

We will advise you when a new model becomes available

The company also stated that, as soon as  Sony comes out with the new model, they’ll be advising the developers  so that they can get their hands on it when it get out.

A with the Dev Kits “expiring”, and Sony mentioning something about a “newer” model, all the hypes and speculation about the PSP2 are coming into fruition sooner than we may expect it. Stay tuned for more updates on the PSP world here on Tech4idiots.
